Barcelona was the first trip I took and will always be one of my favorites. Barcelona has an energy that pulls you in—sunny beaches, late-night dinners, and architecture that looks more like art than buildings. The beaches stretch along the city, with Barceloneta being the most popular spot for swimming and grabbing seafood paella right by the water. The food scene is incredible: tapas at places like Ciudad Condal or Tapeo, fresh market snacks at La Boqueria, and classic Catalan dishes.
When the sun goes down, Barcelona comes alive. The nightlife ranges from relaxed wine bars to rooftop lounges with views of the city and clubs that stay open until sunrise. Definitely make sure to check out Monk Speakeasy if you want an aesthetic experience.
There’s also plenty to see during the day. Sagrada FamÃlia, Park Güell, and Casa Batlló show off GaudÃ’s iconic style, while the Gothic Quarter is perfect for wandering through narrow streets, hidden courtyards, and small cafés.
